After 15 years of existence, blockchain is finding its way to mass adoption by synergizing with traditional finance through tokenization. In this session, experts will present their views on the current and future states of tokenization and will encourage participation from the audience.
Does tokenization have disruptive potential, or is it merely a source of efficiency gains for traditional finance? Are there innovative use cases that emerge from it? What role can Geneva’s financial hub play in the future of finance?
These are some of the questions that the speakers will address during this event.

Géraldine Monchau – Criptonite Asset Management – Women in Web3 Switzerland
Senior Manager at Criptonite Asset Management, a digital asset manager based in Switzerland and Commitee member of Women in Web3 Switzerland.With 10 years of experience in TradFi, including some senior roles in Discretionary Portfolio Management and Product Advisory offshore and onshore, she started her journey in 2014 in crypto. With a financial academic background (CAIA, CIIA),she then had the opportunity to join a start-up in the blockchain technology field. Adrian Fritz – 21.co / 21Shares
Adrian Fritz is a Senior Research Associate at 21.co (parent company of 21Shares), producing macro-market commentaries and data-driven insight for digital assets by analyzing economic & blockchain indicators. He educates portfolio managers on strategic and tactical asset allocation. Adrian is often cited in leading media outlets in German-speaking countries. He’s also a lecturer for various crypto-related courses at the HWZ Zurich University and the Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE). Prior to joining the crypto industry, he worked in traditional finance for many years including management consulting and investment banking.
Dr. Jacques Iffland – Capital Markets and Technology Association
Dr. Jacques Iffland is a partner in Lenz & Staehelin’s Capital Markets practice group, specializing in corporate law, securities regulation and M&A, with a focus on transactions involving public companies. He is authorized to represent issuers before the SIX Swiss Exchange and is chair of the Capital Markets and Technology Association.
Arnaud Salomon - Mt Pelerin
Arnaud Salomon, a Swiss-French entrepreneur born in 1982, is the visionary founder of Mt Pelerin. Frustrated by the cumbersome and expensive processes of traditional banking, especially across borders, Arnaud pursued an education in Communication Systems, specializing in IT security, at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, graduating in 2008. In 2012, Arnaud's discovery of Bitcoin and blockchain technology spurred him to envisage a new financial paradigm. This vision took form as Mt Pelerin, which after incubation in the 2016-2017 Fintech Fusion startup accelerator, was established as Mt Pelerin Group SA in 2018. Through Mt Pelerin, Arnaud is steering the future of finance, leveraging blockchain technology to facilitate seamless, secure, and efficient financial transactions globally.

Arnaud Gaudinat - Associate Professor of Information Science at HEG Geneva - Co-Director of CAS Blockchain & Finance
Prof. Arnaud Gaudinat is an associate professor at HES-SO/HEG in the Department of Information Sciences. With am IT background that includes roles at DEC (Alta Vista) and Health-on-the-Net, he has a solid track record in web media analysis and medical informatics. Prof. Gaudinat has contributed to several European and Swiss research projects aimed at improving access to quality medical information online.
Appointed as a full-time faculty member in 2017, his research now extends to social media and web content mining. He also serves as the co-director of the CAS Blockchain and Finance and has developed blockchain-focused programs at the bachelor level, emphasizing onchain analysis and decentralized finance. Prof. Gaudinat's recent achievements include securing a European Grant to establish an open resource of onchain data, adhering to the FAIR (Findable Accessible Interoperable Replicable) data principles, to serve the community.
Arkan Akin - TóróNet - Gyra Asset Management - Co-Director of CAS Blockchain & Finance
Arkan is a digital assets specialist working in traditional and decentralized finance.He co-founded TóróNet, Africa's first layer-1 blockchain designed to embed financial services into communities seamlessly. He also serves as a digital assets specialist and risk officer for Gyra SA, a FINMA-regulated asset management company based in Geneva.Arkan is the co-director of the first university program for financial professionals in Switzerland that specializes in blockchain applications at the University of Applied Sciences, Management School in Geneva (HEG).
